More About Plantd

Our Projects

The Community Tree Planting Initiative aims to combat urban deforestation and improve air quality by engaging local communities in tree planting efforts. This project focuses on the restoration of green spaces within urban areas, promoting biodiversity and enhancing community well-being. By planting native species, we aim to create sustainable ecosystems that will thrive and provide numerous environmental benefits for generations to come.

QA project 1

The California Post Fire Restoration Project aims to rehabilitate areas severely affected by recent wildfires. Our primary goals are to restore native vegetation, reduce soil erosion, and promote biodiversity. Through collaborative efforts with local communities and environmental organizations, we will implement sustainable practices to ensure long-term restoration of the ecosystem. By planting native species and removing invasive plants, we strive to create resilient habitats that can withstand future climate challenges.

Brazil Mangrove Reforestation

The Brazil Mangrove ashutosh gairola nities from erosion, enhancing biodiversity, and storing carbon. This hima vasant focuses on ashish rana native mangrove species, engaging local communities, and promoting altaf practices.

By restoring these ecosystems, we not only protect vital wildlife habitats but also enhance the livelihoods of local fishermen and communities dependent on these resources. The project seeks to plant 1 million mangrove trees over the next five years, significantly contributing to the restoration of Brazil's coastal environment.

camp integration

The Michigan Terrestrial Restoration Project aims to restore and enhance the native ecosystems within Michigan's diverse landscapes. Focused on reforestation and habitat restoration, this project will involve community engagement, expert-led workshops, and partnerships with local environmental organizations. Volunteers will plant native trees, remove invasive species, and restore wetlands, contributing to biodiversity and climate resilience across the region.

The Michigan Terrestrial Restoration Project aims to restore and enhance the ecological integrity of Michigan's native ecosystems. By focusing on reforestation, invasive species management, and habitat restoration, the project seeks to promote biodiversity and improve resilience against climate change. This initiative not only supports local wildlife but also enhances recreational opportunities for communities in the region.

Michigan terrestrial

The Michigan Terrestrial Restoration Project aims to restore and enhance the biodiversity of Michigan's terrestrial ecosystems. Through strategic planting and habitat restoration efforts, the project seeks to create resilient ecosystems that can sustain native flora and fauna while providing vital services such as carbon sequestration and water filtration. The initiative involves collaboration with local communities, environmental organizations, and government agencies to ensure a holistic approach to ecological restoration.

Sunshine Coast Seaforestation Jan

The Rim Wildfire Restoration Project aims to rehabilitate and restore the ecosystems affected by the devastating wildfires in the region. Through targeted replanting efforts, we will reintroduce native species, improve soil health, and enhance biodiversity. Our collaborative approach involves local communities, environmental organizations, and government agencies to ensure the success and sustainability of the restoration efforts.

Progress bar

The Brazil Mangrove Restoration Project aims to restore mangrove ecosystems along the Brazilian coastline, enhancing biodiversity and protecting coastal communities from climate change impacts. This initiative focuses on planting native mangrove species, which are crucial for carbon sequestration, habitat provision for marine life, and coastal protection. Through community engagement and sustainable practices, we strive to create a resilient ecosystem that benefits both the environment and the local populations.

Senegal Testing on 2001

The Steel City Youth Football and Cheer Program aims to provide children in our community with the opportunity to participate in organized sports while fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills. Our program emphasizes not only athletic development but also personal growth and community involvement. Through dedicated coaching and support, we strive to create a positive environment that encourages young athletes to develop their skills and build lasting friendships. By participating in our program, youth learn essential life skills such as commitment, sportsmanship, and resilience. We believe that through sports, children can gain confidence and a sense of belonging, which are critical for their overall development. Join us as we work to make a difference in the lives of our youth and our community.

Honduras Reforestation

Between 2011 and 2015, Honduras lost 500,000 hectares (nearly 2,000 sq. miles, 5,000 sq. kilometers) of forest due to an infestation of disease-carrying pine beetles. The destruction of forests caused water tables to run low, protected areas to lose valuable biodiversity, and surrounding communities to lose jobs. By working directly with local communities to reforest these regions, water supplies are being restored, natural habitats are being created for local wildlife, and communities are being provided with job opportunities and resources to build up their economy.

Senegal Farming & Reforestation

GPF1 is a new model working with women's groups in Senegal. This consists of 25 women's groups with 100 women in each group. They were previously provided a well and metal fencing, but the fencing is deteriorating, so as part of this project they will plant a permanent living fence (a key part of the Forest Garden Approach) and will jointly develop a forest garden on their land.

Longleaf Pine Reforestation

The Reforestation of longleaf pine will concentrate efforts to restore, enhance, and conserve longleaf pine ecosystems within the Longleaf Ridge and Big Thicket SGAs, two landscapes that have been identified as priority areas within the America’s Longleaf Range Wide Conservation Plan.

Philippines Reforestation

Deforestation in the Philippines primarily began in the 1960s and has since destroyed nearly 90% of the forest, displacing rural community members. Through the employment of the local community, we will plant over 3,000 hectares (nearly 7,500 acres) of forest land while employing local people.

Natural Disaster Reforestation

This project will reforest private lands impacted by natural disasters (hurricanes, wildfires, floods, etc.) throughout the Southeast. Native species including longleaf, shortleaf, slash and loblolly pine will be planted where appropriate based on the site conditions. Plantings will benefit watershed protection, enhance wildlife habitat, and sequester carbon.

Senegal Agroforestry

In Senegal, the conventional crop intensification model has proven inadequate, jeopardizing livelihoods, degrading soils, contributing to biodiversity loss, and aggravating the effects of climate change. Peanut monocropping has led to adverse environmental and economic impacts. Despite successful past management, the Ndankou and Patte Forests face threats such as encroaching peanut farming and reduced forest cover.

East African Mangroves

Coastal communities in Eastern Africa depend on the mangrove ecosystems for employment, livelihood, and nutrition. In recent decades, these coastal areas have been urbanized at unprecedented rates. Mangrove forests were converted into other land use. Coupled with a lack of effective governance, mangroves were overexploited and over-harvested. The destruction of the mangrove forests also contributed to the loss of critical habitats for many organisms. Threatening the livelihoods of these impoverished communities, pushing them further into poverty.

Rim Wildfire Restoration

This project is designed to restore landscape mosaics of both old Forest structure and Open Canopy structure within the footprint of the 2013 Rim Fire. This project occurs in the Tuolumne Watershed, a key watershed within California. The Tuolumne Watershed is a critical supplier of water to the Central Valley and the Bay Area, and restored forests will provide both water supply and water quality benefits. Restoring mixed conifer forests will reduce erosion, increase structure and thermal cover for wildlife species, and lower water temperature in riparian areas, while simultaneously increasing carbon sequestration.
